Dark Agenda: The War to Destroy Christian America

On November 18th, 1956, Nikita Khrushchev said to a room full of western diplomats, “We will bury you”.  In 1963, Khrushchev recalled his speech saying: “I once said, ‘We will bury you’, and I got into trouble with it. Of course, we will not bury you with a shovel. Your own working class will bury you.”

Sorry to say, it’s working.

Leftism is Marxism, pure and simple. It’s time to recognize that fact and call it what it is.

As Vic Biorseth writes: “Leftism is a more innocent sounding political term for Communism. Globalism is just the newest name for International Communism.” Anti-American Globalists are Leftists who conceal their Communism frequently enough to entrap politicians, educators, ministers, and laity into their War.

“Leftism opposes Christianity and Judaism because Leftism opposes the morality of Judaeo-Christian principles. Leftism opposes belief in God altogether, but Leftism especially opposes the Judaeo-Christian morals that forged the ethos of America and of Western Civilization.

The past few years I have wondered at the speed by which this nation is in a death spiral.  As an amateur aviator, I was trained how to avoid, detect and recover from killing myself and anyone aboard my plane after becoming visually disoriented.  As described in The Atlantic,

Lost in the clouds [of Communist propaganda promulgated by the media, comments mine], pilots can fall prey to a form of sensory disorientation known as a death spiral, or, more commonly, a graveyard spiral. The term describes an almost instinctive set of maneuvers pilots undertake when they lose sight of the horizon. [When Americans lost sight of the Biblical heritage of this nation.] The graveyard spiral begins when a plane flying in these conditions enters a gentle turn. [When did we enter the ‘gentle turn’?] As it turns, the plane will begin to descend, picking up speed.

Death spirals occur because the pilot feels the descent but not the turn. [The majority of thinking folks now feel the descent, in the grocery, at the gas pump, in disdain for government, and wonder what to do about it.] That has to do with the way the human body relies both on the visual and vestibular systems to perceive its orientation in space. As fluid moves through the small canals in the inner ear, the brain registers the body’s shifts in position. The fluid moves when the head turns, creating the sensation that the vessel under control is doing the turning. In mid-flight, though, the fluid can settle in place. If this happens, a turn can feel like level flight. [Media is successfully convincing many people that fear, anarchy, disdain for God, and fake news are commonplace.] In this situation, a pilot who follows the instruments and levels the plane’s wings feels, with absolute certainty, that the craft is turning in the opposite direction. [Turning back in the direction of our forefathers, biblically and nationally, is antithetical to political correctness, but must happen if we are to survive.]

A pilot who recorrects to what feels level in his or her body simply reinitiates the spiral dive. [Observe those who have never learned to think or who have been drinking the Kool-Aid.] Likewise, pulling back on the yoke to gain altitude without leveling the wings only tightens the plane’s downward spiral. Without a clear view of the horizon to correct against, the pilot can become so disoriented that a total loss of control results, ending in a crash and loss of life. [Think legalized abortion and euthanasia.]

The past few years I have wondered when and how America turned into our graveyard spiral, which seems to be rapidly gaining speed in her descent.  My recent discovery of “Dark Agenda: The War to Destroy Christian America” by David Horowitz is teaching me a lot about the motivations, thinking, plans and actions of the left to move our country away from the God-given right of freedom to practice our faith as our founders envisioned.  As Gary Bauer praised, “If you want to understand the political crisis our country is facing, read this book.”

In hopes of increasing your appetite for reading this book, here are the chapter titles:

  • Religion Must Die
  • Roots of the War
  • Radical Faith
  • Christian America
  • Prayer in the Schools (bone chilling)
  • The War Begins
  • Moving the World
  • Battle Lines
  • A Radical Epidemic
  • Obama’s Arc
  • Civil War

As an optimist, I strive to also be a realist. “Dark Agenda: The War to Destroy Christian America” with its documenting endnotes presents realism in all colors, many of them dark, and challenging, “What can I as one person do”?  This post is one.  My cap is another.  Any comments will be appreciated.

If you wonder, as did I, why Leftists successfully promote Islam up one side and down the other, abrogating their “separation of church and state”, after removing any mention of God in schools or public places, read chapter 5.

“Your own working class will bury you.”  While they are supposedly working for us, our politicians and the justice system are burying us.  Over the years politicians have lost sight of the fact that they are civil servants and not rulers.  Clearly there is an issue when those who hold office want for nothing and that makes them feel superior to their fellow citizens.  They now feel free to follow the “Dark Agenda: The War to Destroy Christian America” and bury us.  May God help us!

If you are a red blooded American, if you believe in the One True God, if you care about the future of children, grandchildren or great grandchildren, I strongly encourage you to read or listen to this book.

An eye opener.  Time well spent. Faith in action.

The King & the Ring – This Too Shall Pass

Inspired by penultimate sermon of Rabbi Mathew Marko 23 April 2022 at Beth Israel Synagogue

In life everything is temporary. In fact, life itself is tempory. In between birth and death we all experience the roller-coaster of life. When life strikes us with setbacks, when we are down and everything seems grim, we need to remember that this also shall pass. This too shall pass

Do you feel sometimes that life overwhelms you with stress, worries, mounting “to do” list, demanding bosses, clients, family members, responsibilities, bills, and challenges? This legend is for you.

Published on October 21, 2014 by Avi Z Liran

During the festive Passover meal with his ministers, King Solomon teased Benaiah son of Jehoiada, his arrogant Chief of Army.

“Benaiah, I was told that there is a special ring that has a special power. It can change the mood of a person. A sad person becomes happy when wearing it and a happy person becomes sad. I know that you of all people in the kingdom can find the ring. Would you be able to find this ring and bring it to me until the eve of Sukkot eve, that is 6 months from now?”

“If it exists anywhere on earth, your majesty, I will find it and bring it to you” replied Benaiah.

King Solomon smiled as he knew that no such ring existed, but he wanted to give his minister a taste of humility.

Time passed and Benaiah sent soldiers and messengers throughout the kingdom, examined records, consulted with elders; yet he could not find even a hint of the existence of the magic ring. Spring passed and so did summer. The last harvest of the year, and with it the Succoth festival, was approaching. Then came eve of Sukkot day. With only a few hours to go before the deadline, Benaiah was wandering in the streets of Jerusalem. The sun was setting casting a golden light on the city which until today all its buildings are made of stone. All the merchants were busy with the last sale and prepared to close their stalls. In desperation, he turned to an old silversmith.

“Have you by any chance heard of a magic ring that makes the happy person forget his joy and the broken-hearted person forget his sorrows?” asked Benaiah. The silversmith listened carefully and smiled. He took a plain silver ring from his old and dusty box and engraved something on it. When Benaiah read the words on the ring, his face lighted up as he knew he had found the right ring. “This is the ring!” he cried and gave the poor jeweler all the money in his purse. “Come to the palace and you shall have more,” he added, “for I cannot thank you enough.”

The sun had set. The time for the holiday dinner arrived. That night the palace was full of guests ready to celebrate with the king.

“Well, my friend,” said Solomon, “Have you found a ring that can make a happy man sad and a sad man happy?” Everyone who knew about the search for the impossible ring laughed and Solomon himself smiled.

But to everyone’s surprise, Benaiah held up a ring and declared, “Here it is your majesty! I found a ring. This too shall pass It has three Hebrew letters engraved on it: Gimel, Zayin, Yod. Then he whispered the meaning of these initials in the king’s ear.

As soon as Solomon heard the meaning of the inscription, the smile vanished from his face. He looked at the guests filling the banquet hall, the tables covered with shining serving pieces, silver goblets, and the finest food one can find. Tears rolled down his eyes. He felt sad. The entire hall was in total silence. A ring that makes the king cry?

Then King Solomon looked at the ring again and started to smile again then laughed so hard infecting the entire palace with giggles and laughter. Everyone wanted to know the meaning of the initials.

The King revealed to his guests what was written on the ring: “The three letters are ג,ז,י represented three words: גם זה יעבור, Gam zeh ya’avor”. It means in English: “This too shall pass.”

In life everything is temporary. In fact, life itself is tempory. In between birth to death we all experience the roller-coaster of life. When life strikes us with setbacks, when we are down and everything seems grim, we need to remember that this also shall pass. Even the worst of the storms, the Tsunami and earthquake do not last. Sometimes the hurricane season had already ended and we keep on behaving like we are still residing at the eye of the storm. Sometimes, we mistakenly label rewarding activities such as reading a bedtime story to our kids, feeding them, playing with them as a chore, only to realize later on that those were the some of the best times of our lives that passed so quickly, but we forgot to enjoy it.

The trick is to be present during good times and savor every moment of joy. When everything works, appreciate it, be grateful and humble and most importantly, remember that other people might be on experiencing stormy weather and reach out to them with friendship, and generosity.

During our “rainy days” remember that even the worst of storms passes and blue sky will come again. Use the wisdom of the ring to have hope and faith and take actions to take shelter and persevere.

King Solomon had everything – power, women, and wealth. Towards the end of his life, he realized that holding on to things is an illusion as they are not the source of happiness. So he turned to a spiritual search and wrote in Ecclesiastes: [1:2, 9]

” The words of the Teacher, son of David, king in Jerusalem: “Meaningless! Meaningless!” says the Teacher. “Utterly meaningless! Everything is meaningless.” … “What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.”

Revolution has come to America

By  Caroline B. Glick Israel Hayom

How does a nation lose its freedom? One way, of course is through foreign conquest. History is filled with examples of nations being subjugated and enslaved by foreign tyranny.

Today, in the United States, Americans are not losing their liberty to a foreign power, but to domestic revolutionaries. The revolutionaries are willing to use force, as they showed in the summer of 2020 when they burned and looted their way through U.S. cities. But generally speaking, their weapon is not the gun or the jackboot, but demonization and intimidation. And now, with the Biden administration firmly ensconced in power, they move forward with their revolution with the firm backing of the state, and its weapons of repression and criminalization.

Kamala Harris

Last month the revolutionaries and the administration converged before the cameras at meeting between Vice President Kamala Harris and students at George Mason University in Virginia.

A female student with the voice of a child used her audience with Harris as an opportunity to promote the revolution’s vicious hatred of Jews, and of America. She sniffed emotionally under her mask and told America’s second highest elected official that her feelings were hurt when Congress passed a bill for supplemental funding to Israel’s Iron Dome anti-missile system. The move, she yowled, “hurts my heart because it’s an ethnic genocide and a displacement of people, the same that happened in America, and I’m sure you’re aware of this.”

Harris might have been expected to call the student out for promoting anti-Semitic and anti-American blood libels. But she didn’t. Instead, Harris empowered the young bigot. She said she was “glad” the student shared her views. “This is about the fact that your voice, your perspective, your experience, your truth, should not be suppressed and it must be heard, right? And one of the things we’re fighting for in a democracy, right?”

There are two ways to understand Harris’s behavior, and they can both be true at the same time. It’s possible that Harris was intimidated. She didn’t want to get into a confrontation with a delicate crybully who talked about her hurting heart. Telling off whiny revolutionaries doesn’t film well. In fact, more often than not, it leads to one’s cancellation in society.

Consider the plight of Prof. Dorian Abbot. A renowned geophysicist at University of Chicago, Abbot was invited to present MIT’s prestigious Carlson lecture later this month. But when word got out that Abbot was coming to campus, the revolutionaries at MIT demanded it be rescinded.

It works out that Abbot is guilty of expressing wrong thoughts. He opposes academic discrimination of white students on the basis of their skin color. Like Harris, MIT administrators decided it would be better to give in to the revolutionary mob than to stand up for their students’ right to learn from Abbot.

The wrongthink mobs who reign supreme in most U.S. campuses have spread their tentacles to the political realm. This week, revolutionaries in Arizona hounded moderate Democrat Senator Kyrsten Sinema in a public bathroom. They chastised and threatened her while she sat in a stall, and as she washed her hands in the sink. Sinema was deemed deserving of hectoring in the ladies’ room because she opposes the revolutionaries’ $3.5 trillion social engineering budget for 2022.

The second reason Harris may have decided to support the George Mason’s student’s slander of Israel and America is because it is likely that she really liked what the student was saying. This brings us to what the revolution is about and to the Biden-Harris administration’s position on its goals.

As Barack Obama said after winning the 2008 presidential election, the purpose of the revolution is to “fundamentally transform the United States of America.” The doctrine that stands at the heart of the revolution is critical race theory.  As CRT researcher Christopher Rufo of the Manhattan Institute has written, “Critical race theorists believe that American institutions, such as the Constitution and legal system, preach freedom and equality, but are mere “camouflages” for naked racial domination. They believe that racism is a constant, universal condition.”

Rufo continued, “Critical race theory reformulates the old Marxist dichotomy of oppressor and oppressed, replacing the class categories of bourgeoisie and proletariat with the identity categories of White and Black. But the basic conclusion is the same: in order to liberate man, society must be fundamentally transformed through moral, economic, and political revolution.”

In early 2020, Rufo exposed that the federal government, including government departments and agencies as well as the U.S. armed forces were requiring their employees and servicemen to undergo CRT workshops and seminars. Participants in the seminars were separated by race. White participants were required to acknowledge and disavow their “whiteness,” that is, their inherent racism, and apologize to non-whites and commit themselves to empowering their non-white colleagues at their own expense, since, they were told, as white people, they were inherently oppressors.

Rufo’s revelations caused an uproar. Then president Donald Trump reacted by issuing an executive order banning CRT training from the federal government and the armed forces.

Trump’s executive order was one of the first policies Biden overturned. Biden cancelled Trump’s executive order on his first day in office. In the days and months that have followed, his administration has reinstated and expanded CRT indoctrination.

Since early this year, the center of gravity in the fight against the CRT revolution moved from the government to the classroom. Rufo and others exposed how under the cover of fighting racism, local school boards from coast to coast have been transforming K-12 classrooms into CRT indoctrination centers. Kindergarten children are taught that their gender is not fixed, but fluid. Tales of hardcore communist, anti-American, anti-white and anti-police indoctrination have abounded across America. For example, fifth graders in a Philadelphia elementary school were forced to celebrate “Black communism.” Kindergarteners in Buffalo, New York were taught that “all white people” are racists and forced to watch a video of dead black children. They were warned of “racist police and state-sanctioned violence” that placed their lives in constant jeopardy.

Parents saw the indoctrination first hand due to the school shutdowns over the past year and a half in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. As the schoolrooms moved into the homes through Zoom, American parents saw their children’s teachers demonize police and teach them to hate their country, judge people by their skin color, and reject the values at the heart of the American experience. The backlash has been profound.

Over the spring and summer, thousands of concerned parents countrywide began attending school board meetings and demanding that the indoctrination stop and CRT curricula be withdrawn. Videos of the meetings, and the invariably dismissive and hostile responses parents received from school board members were seen by tens of millions of people. In Virginia, which as been a focal point of the struggle, parents have been subjected to arrest for trying to protect their children from CRT.

Two weeks ago, the CRT revolutionaries opened their counter assault on the parents. At a gubernatorial debate in Virginia September 28, former governor and current Democrat candidate Terry McAuliffe said that parents have no right to interfere with school curriculum.

“I’m not going to let parents come into schools and actually take books out and make their own decisions,” he said, adding, “I don’t think parents should be telling schools what they should teach.”

The next day, the National School Boards Association shot off a letter to Biden asking him to direct his administration to treat the protesting parents as “domestic terrorists.”

And this week, Attorney General Merrick Garland issued a memo to the FBI Director and federal prosecutors effectively ordering them to fulfill the NSBA’s request.

Garland’s memo was directed at parents no less than to federal law enforcement officials. And his message was clear: If you object to CRT indoctrination in the classroom, the federal government will treat you like terrorists. You will lose everything. Under the circumstances, how many parents will be willing to continue the fight for their children’s American souls?

This returns us to the student at George Mason. The anti-American and anti-Semitic lies she propounded to Harris were not her lies. They were the lies she has been taught by the CRT revolutionaries in the classroom. They taught her that the U.S. was born not in liberty, but in slavery, racism and genocide. She has been taught that the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Civil War and the Civil Rights Act were all fig leaves behind which the true venality of America operates and carries out its oppressive, genocidal and racist machinations. There is no forgiveness for America’s crimes. Only the revolution, which will “fundamentally transform the United States” can fix what is ailing Uncle Sam.

Likewise, the Jewish state, America’s mini-me can only be redeemed when the “colonialist Jewish settlers” and their “genocidal,” “Apartheid” regime are kicked out of “Palestine.”

Consistent polling data show that between two thirds and three quarters of Americans oppose the inclusion of CRT in school curricula. But the revolutionaries don’t care. They don’t need the public’s approval with the FBI, the U.S. attorneys, the President and the Vice President on their side and placing the full force of the federal government behind their efforts.

Americans are not losing their liberty to invading armies from China or Russia, or even to terrorists from al Qaeda. Those enemies are all sitting on the side, eating popcorn and watching as the combined force of CRT revolutionaries and the federal government trample the rights and freedoms that have defined America since its founding, in favor of “their voice, their perspective, their experience and their truth.”

“This may be the first time in history where we have more enemies on our own soil than we have abroad.

“We live in a time where Americans are more determined than ever to destroy America, and it makes me even more grateful to know that men and women loved this country so much that they were willing to lay down their lives for it.

Unmasked — Have we uncovered the truth on 2020 election fraud…

Sorry to make you mad!  Sorry to make you sad!  Sorry to make you cry!  But my patriotic duty is to share with you the reality of the coup d’etat we are experiencing.

Facts are facts, regardless of how often they are disputed.  Please watch this video if you have doubts about what happened.

Cancel culture is very dangerous to this country, to our future.  Cowering before the bullies of neighbors,  main stream media, politicians or courts allows the bullies to dominate our lives. Living with our head in the sand leaves our rear end seriously exposed.

Regardless of the naysayers, the election was stolen.  For real evidence, for real documentation, please watch this video:

Unmasked — Have we uncovered the truth on 2020 election fraud…

before it is taken down.  Then share, far and wide.

I continue to ask the question, “What can I do about the downward spiral we are experiencing?”

Watch This Woman!

Watch this woman!

Not just this video clip.  And not just today.  But watch her in the next months as she takes on Washington, as she enters the U S House of Representatives.

As a close friend says, “We need a lot more of these …”

She owns Shooters Grill, a restaurant in Rifle, Colorado, where staff members are encouraged to openly carry firearms.

She beat out the 5-term incumbent Republican in the primary with 54.6% of the vote.  And she beat the Dumbocrat challenger in the general election by focusing her campaign on gun rights, energy, and the Constitution, and denouncing “the heavy hand of government to make us do whatever they want.” Wikipedia says this about her.

On the floor of the U. S. House of Representatives, Breitbart quotes her 13 January:

“Where’s the accountability for the left after encouraging and normalizing violence? Rather than helping American people in this time, we start impeachments that further divide our country,” Boebert said. “I call bull-crap.”

“I hear the Democrats demanding unity; sadly, they’re only unified in hate,” Boebert concluded.

Hopefully Daily Wire and others will provide us with the facts of her congressional life among the gators in the swamp, which MSM will certainly not do.

May God shower her with wisdom to complement her backbone as she leads. Wisdom is supreme; so acquire wisdom. And whatever you may acquire, gain understanding. Proverbs 4:7.

Where Do We Go From Here?

Jerry R Lambert

As Moses prepared to lead the Children of Israel from Egyptian bondage, he addressed them as the tremendously insightful and successful leader that we know him to be.  If we analyze his leadership actions, what can we learn?  And how may we apply what we learn to point us to act under the current situation?

On the day they would depart, Moses said to the people, “Remember this day in which you went out from Egypt, from the house of slavery; for by a powerful hand the Lord brought you out from this place. (More on the emphasized words later.)

Instructing them on how to remember, following the plan of the Creator, he established the holiday of Passover: Now this day will be a memorial to you, and you shall celebrate it as a feast to the Lord; throughout your generations you are to celebrate it as a permanent ordinance.

And ensuring that all succeeding generations would remember: And when your children ask you, “What do you mean by this rite?” you shall say, “It is the Passover sacrifice to the Lord, because He passed over the houses of the Israelites in Egypt when he smote the Egyptians, but saved our houses.”

And further instruction: And you shall explain to your child on that day, “It is because of what the Lord did for me when I went free from Egypt.”

And yet further: And when, in time to come, your child asks you, saying, “What does this mean?” you shall say to him, “It was with a mighty hand that the Lord brought us out from Egypt, the house of bondage.”

While he acknowledged the moment, the theme of Moses was not today, or tomorrow. He spoke of the distant future and the duty of parents to educate their children in their heritage. His language even hints that we should encourage our children to ask questions, so that the handing on of our heritage not be a matter of rote learning or lecturing, but of active dialog between us and our children.

If you are familiar with the Jewish Passover Seder you may remember that the scriptural instructions remain to this day a major part of the annual memorial celebration around the family table. Passover itself has continued to be an annual seminar on the handling of heritage memory.

“Moses’ insight was profound. He knew that you cannot change the world by externalities alone, by monumental architecture, or armies and empires, or the use of force and power. How many empires have come and gone while the human condition remains untransformed and unredeemed? (https://tinyurl.com/yygdonk3) (Further, how many empires have come and gone while the nation of Israel has survived, even if taking lacunae?)

“There is only one way to change the world, and that is by education. You have to teach children the importance of justice, righteousness, kindness and compassion. You have to teach them that freedom can only be sustained by the laws and habits of self-restraint. You have to continually remind them of the lessons of history, “We were slaves to Pharaoh in Egypt,” because those who forget the bitterness of slavery eventually lose the commitment and courage to fight for freedom. And you have to empower children to ask, challenge and argue. You have to respect them if they are to respect the values you wish them to embrace. (ibid.)

“This is a lesson most cultures still have not learned after more than three thousand years. Revolutions, protests and civil wars still take place, encouraging people to think that removing a tyrant or having a democratic election will end corruption, create freedom, and lead to justice and the rule of law – and still people are surprised and disappointed when it does not happen. All that happens is a change of faces in the corridors of power. (ibid.)

The United States of America vis-à-vis the Nation of Israel

As the story is told, Benjamin Franklin was walking out of Independence Hall after the Constitutional Convention in 1787, when a lady shouted out, “Doctor, what have we got? A republic or a monarchy?” To which Franklin responded, with a rejoinder at once witty and ominous: “A republic, if you can keep it.”

“It was John Adams who said: ‘The foundation of every government is some principle or passion in the minds of the people.’ Clearly, the Founders’ passion was liberty, and in order to secure that liberty, they sought out and incorporated into the United States Constitution those ideas and principles embodied in the Declaration of Independence. The French historian, Guizot, once asked James Russell Lowell, ‘How long will the American republic endure?’ Lowell replied: ‘As long as the IDEAS of the men who founded it continue dominant.’ Herein lies the answer to the question, “Will the Experiment Succeed?” It can and will succeed IF the motivating ‘principle or passion in the minds of the people’ is LIBERTY, and if that passion causes them to exert the determination and will to complete the needed restoration of the IDEAS upon which the great American experiment was based. (https://tinyurl.com/y2pud9h5)

“Can America Lose Her Freedom? An examination of the history of civilization reveals that nations have risen, and they have fallen. Governments have been formed, and they have been dissolved. People have become free, and they have fallen into slavery again. Toynbee observed that 19 of the world’s 21 significant civilizations disappeared from the face of the earth – not from assault by outside forces, but from deterioration within the society. Many would contend that America has departed from the intentions of its Founders in a number of significant ways. (ibid.)

We might well question ourselves these days whether the ideas of our founding fathers are being marginalized, superseded, corrupted and trashed by main stream media, socialist politicians and leftist couch potatoes who have no real clue that true liberty carries with it heavy responsibility. A key word here is “remember,” as Moses suggested or instructed. Those pulling down statues of stalwart thinkers fail to recognize their contributions to this nation. And those, whoever they may be, who condone such actions are complicit in silence.

“For the past five or six decades, several perceptive observers have remarked, an increasing proportion of the American population has ceased to feel responsible for the common defense, for productive work, for choosing able men and women to represent them in politics, for accepting personal responsibility for the needs of the community, or even for their own livelihood. (https://tinyurl.com/y3lkto2y)

But as responsible citizens of this great country, where do we go from here? How do we take action? What do we do? Of course, to do nothing is an alternative. But it’s not what we were created for. As Edmund Burke is quoted, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”  But frankly, I am puzzled with the decision(s).

“In family, church, and school, until the middle of the twentieth century, the rising generation of Americans were taught that they must be personally responsible for their own welfare, for the care of their aging family members, for the security and prosperity of their community, for their patrimony of order and justice and freedom. (https://tinyurl.com/yygdonk3) But …

Observing patriots clearly see the decline.

Just as “those who forget the bitterness of slavery eventually lose the commitment and courage to fight for freedom,” those 2020 and beyond anarchists who intentionally fail to recognize where we came from as a nation lose the liberty they profess.

American historian and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Barbara Tuchman once wrote that Israel is “the only nation in the world that is governing itself in the same territory, under the same name, and with the same religion and same language as it did 3,000 years ago.” (https://tinyurl.com/yxsmy9rd)

A major reason the Nation of Israel has perpetuated itself through the centuries, yea millenia, is its institution of education, again as instructed through the words of Moses. “Education in Israel is a precious legacy. Following the tradition of past generations, education continues to be a fundamental value and is recognized as the key to the future. The educational system aims to prepare children to become responsible members of a democratic, pluralistic society in which people from different ethnic, religious, cultural and political backgrounds coexist. It is based on Jewish values, love of the land, and the principles of liberty and tolerance. It seeks to impart a high level of knowledge, with an emphasis on scientific and technological skills essential for the country’s continued development. “The very world rests on the breath of a child in the schoolhouse.” (Babylonian Talmud: Shabbat, 119b) (https://tinyurl.com/y924p2dx)

When adults, parents or other teachers, fail to pass on heritage and principles, those sound thoughts and ideas are continuously diluted to the point of ineffectiveness.

“What God taught Moses was that the real challenge does not lie in gaining freedom; it lies in sustaining it, keeping the spirit of liberty alive in the hearts of successive generations. That can only be done through a sustained process of education. Nor is this something that can be delegated away to teachers and schools. Some of it has to take place within the family, at home, and with the sacred obligation that comes from religious duty. No one ever saw this more clearly than Moses, and only because of his teachings have Jews and Judaism survived. (https://tinyurl.com/yygdonk3)

On the contrary, spiritual culture of the United States seems to be in a death spiral. In 1962 courts effectively ended spiritual leadership in public classrooms. Television now often competes successfully for meaningful family discussion or dialogue. Single parent homes often struggle for heart time together because of financial pressures. Teachers and college professors are often either so secular or browbeaten they fear patriotic or spiritual accusations and so lean the other direction. As Dennis Prager says, no apolitical classroom exists.

So what can you and I do toward remembering and education of our heritage?

Good question? I’d like to know your thoughts. Seriously.

  • A couple of ideas include getting involved:
Prager University educates millions of Americans and young people about the values that make America great. One effort is creation and provision of free-of-charge videos. (https://www.prageru.com/series/5-minute-videos/) PragerFORCE student ambassadors actively share PragerU content on campuses. PragerU Resources for Educators & Parents (PREP) help teach about America’s blessings and limitless opportunities. I wonder if PragerFORCE has a presence on campuses near me.
  • Learning, character, faith, and freedom: these are the inseparable purposes of Hillsdale College. Resident campus curricula include liberal arts, studied the way they were meant to be: as a means of understanding the good, the true, and the beautiful. A wide variety of online courses are also available free of charge to any who wish to learn.
  • Too many public school teachers, including college, are not grounded in the heritage, including spiritual, of this nation.  To encourage them to recognize and remember, one thought is to gift into their hands, hopefully with heart-to-heard discussion, a copy of recent sourcebooks, e.g. (I have no vested interest.):
  1. Proclaim Liberty Throughout the Land, eds., 2019
  2. Land of Hope, Wilfred M McClay, 2019.

I also recommend an article entitled “The Responsibility Of Citizens.”

If you have other thoughts about where we go from here, please comment so I and others can learn from you.  We each have a challenge!  Let’s roll!

The Totalitarian Left Moves to Silence All Dissent

If you don’t already receive it, I strongly suggest that you subscribe to Pam Geller’s daily newsletter.  She tells it like it is. Jerry

By Pam Geller 16 January 2021

In an article that was picked up by the Mercury News, Ethan Baron of the Bay Area News Group wrote Tuesday that “A week after false claims of a stolen U.S. presidential election drove a deadly insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, Twitter is allowing a far-right supporter of President Donald Trump to claim the election was stolen.” Baron’s intention was clear: he wants Twitter to ban me, as it banned Trump, for telling truths they want buried. His article shows how monstrous and totalitarian the left really is: leftists think they can publicly call for the censuring and banning of someone whose views they hate, and just like that, you disappear.

The left and its propaganda arm, the establishment media, are now working hard to make it illegal, and get you banned from social media, to state the obvious fact that the election was stolen. The Democrats are seeking to criminalize and penalize anyone who says the election was stolen. Their “insurrection” hoax, and impeachment of the president without due process or giving him the chance to defend himself, is designed to shut down any and all talk of their infamous election fraud. This is not the behavior of people who know they won fair and square and are watching their opponents have a tantrum about it. This is the action of the guilty.

That said, the election was stolen. The mountains of evidence of election fraud were never examined in any court, and then we were told that there was no evidence at all, or if there was any, it had already been dismissed in court challenges. The court cases were all dismissed on technicalities and procedural issues, not because there was no evidence of voter fraud. That evidence has still not been examined.

But it is a hallmark of the rapidly advancing totalitarianism of our age that thumbsuckers like Ethan Baron think they can kill you with righteous indignation. He wrote: “Anti-Muslim activist Pamela Geller, in a tweet Monday about banks freezing political donations after a pro-Trump mob stormed the seat of the U.S. government, said the banks’ decision was, ‘Further proof the election was stolen.’” I am not “anti-Muslim” any more than foes of the Nazis were “anti-German,” but that’s another story. Baron offered no counterargument to my contention about the banks. He just presented it as if it were self-evidently false and egregious.

Baron knew, of course, that he didn’t have to show that what I said was inaccurate. All he had to do was point out that I had deviated from the leftist line, and the jackbooted neo-fascists who run Twitter and the other social media platforms would spring into action.

It was reminiscent of the media outrage that was directed at me in May 2015, when I hosted the Muhammad Art Exhibit and Cartoon Contest in Garland, Texas that was the site of the first ISIS attack on American soil. I was raked over the coals not just on CNN, but also on Fox, which hadn’t yet switched sides then, and by conservative spokesmen who should have known better. I was defending the freedom of speech against violent intimidation. We never saw the hate and attacks that were directed at me in the wake of that event in Garland directed at the Fort Hood jihadi, the Times Square jihad bomber, the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony jihad bomber, the Boston Marathon jihad bombers, the New York subway jihad bomber, or any other jihadis.

We have never seen the media hatred and anything like the attacks that were directed at me directed towards the jihadists who beheaded journalist after journalist (their own!), or towards those who beheaded hundreds of Christians, executed them because they were non-Muslims, or towards the perpetrators of the ongoing genocide of non-Muslims and secular Muslims in Muslim countries.

If we had a responsible media, they would stand for the freedom of speech as we did in Garland. If we had a responsible media, it would be applauding the fact that some people are still standing up and telling the truth about the election despite the immense pressure from powerful forces to stop doing so.

How do these people not understand this most basic, elemental concept of freedom?

I didn’t start this war for the freedom of speech, but I won’t lie down and submit, either. Twitter and the rest may heed Baron and ban me. But even then, this isn’t over. What remains to be seen is whether the free world will finally wake up and stand for the freedom of speech, or instead kowtow to this evil and continue to denounce me and others like me. What’s really frightening and astonishing about this assault on our freedom of speech is the number of people cheering on the silencing of dissent from the establishment line. I never expected that from my fellow Americans. But if the darkness of totalitarianism does come to the United States, it will be thanks to them and to the likes of Ethan Baron.

Pray for America

Jack Engelhard 17 January 2021 Prayer-image

Hello, Dear World. We can use a prayer or two.

I know. It’s usually the other way round. You turn to us for help, and usually we deliver.

But something happened and we – this great big fat superpower – find ourselves on our knees, and we can’t get up.

Long story. The short of it is that we are being devoured by politics. The trouble started when the Democrats decided that every day is another day to hang Donald Trump.

They call it impeachment, but we know that for them, even that won’t be enough. They are forming a posse to pursue him even after he is out the door.

The hunt is on and anyone who voted for him is prey. That makes us a dysfunctional family, and the ruckus keeps getting worse.

The noise you hear is coming mostly from the Democrats (though for all the good he did over four years, and plenty of it was very good, Trump does not get off the hook for that one bad day, Jan. 6). But for you, Dear World, it is sufficient to know that we’ve got troubles, and when we’ve got troubles, you’ve got troubles.

Who you gonna call when we’re gone? Who comes running when you cry for help? We don’t keep grudges, either. Ask Japan. Ask Germany. Ask Vietnam.

Say the word, and we show up.

According to the Council of Foreign Relations, “The United States is widely viewed as the leader in international disaster relief, providing aid in response to dozens of disasters in more than 50 countries every year.” It’s what you would expect from a country whose heritage is based on Judeo-Christian values.

So it is no surprise that the nations count on Israel as well for the same type of humanitarian generosity.

America needs no ships, tanks nor planes from anyone, nor soldiers willing to fight, nor doctors willing to heal. We are okay in that department.

But spare us your schadenfreude. We hear the whispers. We are aware of the snickers. Instead, a pat on the back during these hard times would be appreciated.

That would be for services rendered past, present…though the future, who knows? That’s the point. We don’t know what’s coming now that everything is upside-down.

This we know. Iran is a player again, and China celebrates our miseries, as do, we are told, some others around the world, who say we had it coming.

They resent our Big Stick, and yet without that Big Stick Western Europe would be speaking German, and Eastern Europe would be speaking Russian.

Once we were near invincible, and now we are down in the dumps, but it would be a bad bet to count us out.

We shall return. Stick with us and stay tuned.
